More specifically, I am looking to add about 7-8 lb of lean muscle mass over the course of this first 90 days. While, you cannot just add muscle to a specific muscle group, you can train that area in a slightly different manner to ensure it gets more attention and becomes further developed. For this first block, it is all about adding some lean muscle mass to my frame, with emphasis again on chest. This time around, I have a full year to get ready, so I will be able to accomplish more goals over that period of time, but I am still breaking them down into 90 day/3 month blocks to make them easier to manage. Previously, I only had 12 weeks to prep for the 2014 event. These were lagging muscle groups in my physique and I really wanted to improve them going into my first competition. Back in April when I started training for the 2014 Beachbody Classic, I had established two areas of primary focus chest and back. It allows you to really focus on just a couple of things over the course of the program and not get caught up in trying to do everything all at once. Having a specific goal or set of goals as your start a fitness program is important. I am using the next 11 months to prepare for that contest and I already have the first month behind me! I wanted to post some stats and photos to update you guys on where I am at so far with my current round of Body Beast. As most of you are probably already aware, I have committed to the Beachbody Classic competition that is scheduled for July 2015 in Nashville, TN.
